Cross training ADV

Have an epic motorcycle trip planned? BDR? RTW?
Suffering butt-pucker when transitioning to gravel?
Can’t make friends with a big unwieldy bike?
Have you had a big scare while riding?
Lack the confidence to commit to difficult terrain?
Getting in over your head, in the back of beyond?
This is the world’s first enduro to ADV cross-training camp. XTADV is based on the teachings of our Aussie cousin, Barry Morris of Cross Training Enduro Skills. Improve your ADV/DualSport skills and safety by learning the basic techniques on our lightweight 250cc machines.
This fun, five-day event is designed specifically for riders who are transitioning from street riding to exploring the dirt. This unique approach of small-bike training to learn big-bike skills, will fast track your abilities and confidence both on and off the road no matter what you ride at home.
Come to the eRag Ranch — 5000 acres of thick Canadian forest, pristine lakes, and staggering vistas in the Interior Mountains of central British Columbia.
XTADV is the perfect combination of training, riding and exploration, incredible scenery, great food and good friends. Cross Training ADV is a great investment in your safety and enjoyment of motorcycling for years to come.

“There’s no ‘pin-it’ talk; they want you to learn the basics like throttle control, clutch control, body positioning in a safe-but-still adventurous environment.
A lot of adventure bikes might push beyond their local Starbucks if their owners had built these skills the safe and proper way.”

What You Need To Know
Our events sell out quickly. You may need time to discuss your participation with work, family, girlfriend or parole officer but regardless, we will need a deposit to hold your spot.
Our events have limited participants, no more than 12 per week. You won’t get lost in a large group.
Location
The Traction eRag World Headquarters, nestled in the tree-covered hill tops 20 minutes away from the desert landscape of Kamloops, British Columbia.
You will be staying in heated accomodation – basic cabins or luxury safari tents. You’ll be warm, dry, comfortable and off the ground. Pillows and mattress provided, bring a sleeping bag — you’ll be ultra comfortable. The camp has flush toilets and hot showers with the best view in the world.
We are in a remote location, but this is Canada – a first-world country, with close access to world-class health care, transportation infrastructure and food safety. You will be spending your vacation on a dirt bike seat, not a toilet seat.
There is a Place for You.
We understand how intimidating riding with an unknown group can be. Don’t worry, you will find like-minded people at each shoulder. Nobody is a pro rider, we have designed these rides for people who want to have fun. Most folks who attend XTADV are between 45 to 70 years old, and most are solo travellers.
“I alway recommend people get training, and this is some of the best. Every morning your bike is ready to go, this amazing meal gets set down in front of you, you ride and come back and the bathrooms are clean – It’s like Disneyland.”
